Wave springs are sheet-type elastic metal parts composed of a number of wave crests and troughs. They are made of quality spring steel 65Mn (60Si2MnA/50CrVA /0Cr17Ni7Al /SUS304), having been subject to special heat treatment with hardness in the range of HRC44 -55. They are of black appearance and excellent elasticity. Wave springs are widely used in such industries as motor, textile machinery, hydraulic equipment and car etc. They are mainly installed in the bearing chambers or cavities that have appropriate nominal sizes, need very small space to assembly, and are specially characterized by reduced noise and smaller vibration.
To ensure the working elasticity conforms to requirements and be stable, the height of wave crests can be slightly adjusted in actual production. Please note the specifications you require when placing the order. When user has any special requirements, a drawing or sample shall be delivered. The heights listed in the Sheet are only approximate values.
Wave springs are also divided into WS series and WSS series.
WS series of wave springs:
WS series of wave springs are formed by consecutive rolling, with alternated wave crests. They feature that they can offer ideal elasticity in a smaller installation space that’s generally 50% less than ordinary spiral springs. The series can be made of multiple materials, and user may refer to the column of technical parameters. Spiral direction is often not considered in this series. If specially required, user may note the spiral direction when placing the order.
WSS series of wave springs:
WSS series of springs are of alternated wave crests with flat washers. They not only have the merits of WS series of wave springs, but also enjoy better elasticity in use due to the addition of flat washers at both sides. They are especially applicable for the case that two end surfaces of the installation space are holed and the wave crests of WS series are liable to sink into the holes. The series can be made of multiple materials, and user may refer to the column of technical parameters. Spiral direction is often not considered in this series. If specially required, user may note the spiral direction when placing the order.
